about

This is my mantra for releasing stuff, letting go does not have to be hard and yet often it is. I use this song as a 4 minute ritual, if I tell you the story, you'll understand why it's track number two.

I like the idea that whenever my body malfunctions, that it is trying to tell me something and when I was introduced to this concept, in the 90s, in a book by Louise Hay, I was hugely skeptical. Having used my scientific mind to test the theory, I've found it to be true for me and often enjoy spending time deciphering my body's messages when things go wrong.
At the time I wrote this track, I was having low back pains and I had noticed a pattern of constipation often went with it, as I contemplated what constipation meant, it felt clear there was a difficulty letting go of my body's waste products, and yes, the song came to me on the bathroom throne!!!

This whole album is a way to bring useful tools into our daily life, two regular letting go processes that can be turned into rituals are bowel movements and washing. Each time we wash, we remove dead skin, it has done it's job and is No Longer Needed. I sometimes pop on this track and have a good scrub, other times I may dance and shake my body out to release any stuckness.

What will you do with it?
